One Billion Rising Flash Mob  One Billion Rising is a global campaign to raise awareness of violence against women. When the campaign called for people across the world to ‘Rise, Dance, Strike’ asking BDFM to co-ordinate Brighton’s contribution to this event seemed a natural choice. From start to finish the experience surpassed our expectations. Over 100 people took part, of all ages and dance experience (mostly none!). Somehow BDFM managed to teach us all an amazing routine in a supportive and really fun way. We performed at Brighton Pier and Churchill Square to great applause from crowds that gathered. We made a meaningful contribution to a global event and had the best time doing it! We are just now seeing what else we do that needs a Flashmob – dying to do it all again! Naomi Bos, Communications Officer, Rise

Road Safety Flash Mob  Brighton Dance Flash mobs turned our important but all too easy to ignore autumn campaign messages about pedestrian safety and visibility in the winter months into an attention grabbing event that was hugely entertaining and fun to take part in and to watch. The well-oiled BDFM machine took all the hassle out of planning the event, and the choreographer Natalie West worked miracles with even the rustiest road safety officer’s dance moves. BDFM regulars danced up a storm and ensured a successful performance. Thanks again for a brilliant evening. Matthew Thompson, Project Officer, Road Safety Team, B&H CC

Glee Flash Mob  During National Adult Learner’s Week, we wanted to highlight the value of informal adult learning in a fun and accessible way. Working with the Brighton Dance Flash Mobs team, our lunchtime dance flash mob was a great success!  We had over 50 participants from all walks of life take part in the rehearsals and performance. We entertained and promoted our work to surprised members of the public in Brighton Dome Foyer and Jubilee Library (the main library). The brilliant video produced remains a great way of showing off what we do and is a great legacy to the project!  Hooray for BDFM! Truly a GLEE-ful time! Julie Watson, Adult Learning Group Project Officer, B&H CC

Tinnitus Awareness Week Flash Mob  From start to finish the BDFM team have been professional, incredibly efficient and always friendly and encouraging. It has been an amazing journey from developing the idea to creating the reality and using the dance flash mob as a vehicle to promote awareness of tinnitus during Tinnitus Awareness Week. We have attracted new volunteers to Action on Hearing Loss and gained great media coverage. Our thanks in particular go to Ali Adolph, Hannah Brackenbury, Natalie West and the many volunteers who performed and whose tireless energy, skills and enthusiasm made it so much fun. Jane Bailey, Head of Volunteer Development Action on Hearing Loss

Wedding Proposal Flash Mob  I would just like to take this opportunity to thank you all for helping me to make my proposal to Sarah so special. Your positive, energetic, and above all reassuring approach meant that not only did I feel confident that you understood what I wanted, but also that I could leave the organization to you, and that it would all go exactly to plan. Thank you so much from both of us – the Brighton Dance Flash Mobs, the Brighton Wheel, and all of those involved, will always have a special place in our hearts. Glen, groom-to-be

Hen Party Flash Mob  I can’t believe how well it went on Saturday! Thank you again. Rachel, Maid of Honour

Hen Party and Wedding Flash Mobs  What a great routine! Loved that there was story linked to it as I am not a dancer and meant even I could remember what was happening next and could throw myself into it. Everyone got involved and actually performing it was incredibly exhilarating! Sarah, Bride-to-be

Civil Partnership Flash Mob  The flash mob was the icing on the cake! The majority of our guests were in on the surprise, but the parents of the brides had no idea what was going on when their daughters suddenly started dancing! We all learnt the routine on-line, and it was presented in an easy step-by-step way so that even the most uncoordinated of us could learn it. Having Natalie lead the dance at the start was perfect. Thank you! Ali & Kate, Brides

Love Flash Mob  I had The Flashmobbers come do a flash mob dance at my civil ceremony reception… All guests were very surprised and have not stopped talking about how talented and fabulous all dancers were and how brilliant it was to have them start our celebrations. Thank you for making my day extra special. Justyne, Bride

Flying Flash Mob  Having just launched a new regular giving scheme to raise funds for the Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance, we wanted a high profile event to announce the scheme. Brighton Dance Flash Mobs choreographed an amazing routine outside the Churchill Centre in Brighton which helped to raise the profile of the charity and the campaign. The dance routine attracted a large audience who despite the very wet conditions stopped shopping to watch. It was a great way to launch the scheme and I was very impressed with the skill, professionalism and enthusiasm of the team. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. Jill Playle, Director of Communications, KSSAA

Tina Turner Flash Mob  It takes a lot of work to organise a flash mob, and luckily BDFM did all that work – I just booked them. The result was the first ever flash mob of a comedy night, Charity Chuckle, creating some pre-gig fun, laughter and excitement, while providing an entertaining shorthand for the political message of One Billion Rising. BDFM succeeded on every front. Kerry Herbert, Stand-Up Marketing

Seafront Flash Mob  Brighton and Hove is the most amazing place, especially on a summer’s day. With the sun shining the Brighton flash mob took to the seafront and danced along the promenade. The day was great fun and an all-round great success – team members from BrightonandHoveJobs.com even joined in to dance the day away. Holiday makers on the beach came up to introduce themselves and to find out more about us. Natalie West is a professional and fabulous choreographer – we would recommend this idea for any business who is looking to advertise themselves in a unique way. Charlene Brown, Business Manager, LoveLocalJobs.com

Greek Flash Mob  The brief from our client, the Greek National Tourism Organisation, was to organise a flash mob on London’s busy South Bank. We hired Brighton Dance Flash Mobs to help deliver this ambitious project. We found the team extremely helpful and efficient in the planning stage ultimately helping to deliver a very successful event. They have continued to support us by promoting the resulting video via their own channels. We look forward to working together again. Aidan Day, Sportcel

Yoga Jam Flash Mob  Working with BDFM was great! Ali and her team made everything smooth and effortless, and it was really fun on the day. Ed Lower, Producer, Yoga Jam, Brighton Festival Fringe

Poetry Flash Mob  Thanks for the fabulous support you gave to the Launch of LGBT History Month and the artistic launch of I Am A Poem: Brighton. Amazing turnout! Thanks for all the networking. Vince Laws, Poet and Artist

Seafront Flash Mob  Working with Brighton Dance Flash Mobs helped us put across our message to the customers and people passing by our stand at the Conference in a very positive and up-beat way. We would, no doubt, work with such an effective, creative and hard-working team again! Alana Laguna, Associate Marketing Executive, ELT, Cambridge University Press

Birthday Flash Mob  It was such an amazing event. We loved it! Thanks a lot for all the group who participated they were all amazingly fabulous. Friend of the birthday girl, who commissioned the flash mob
